Watch Ileria CPR Feedback Device Saving a Life After Electrocution Accident

Two first responders and EMS staff in white uniform shirts and blue gloves perform CPR on a Electrocution victim. One is providing CPR, the other is using a bag valve mask.

Through this video, the Ileria team has simulated an electrocution accident in an industrial environment, which occurs daily among the workforce.

In this video, two ambulance staff arrive at an industrial factory salon, and the victim of electrocution is lying down between high-voltage machines. First, the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) staff checks the heart rate of the victim and, after deciding to perform CPR, without wasting time, they turn on the Ileria CPR Feedback Device. While they are performing the CPR, the Ileria technology measures the performance of this important life-saving skill and provides feedback to the CPR performer as it is located between the chest and the palm.

During the chest compression effort, the device precisely measures the performance and compares it with the guidelines of effective CPR that are defined by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) and European Resuscitation Council (ERC), and other national councils such as  American Heart Association (AHA), Resuscitation Council UK, Australian Resuscitation Council, etc. Then the device provides audio and visual feedback, including:

  • Push Deeper
  • Push Less/Release the Chest
  • Perform Faster
  • Perform Slower
  • And the precise time for Artificial Respiration

As a result, the performer finds out what to do and how to calibrate himself in a stressful situation of saving a life. In other words, with performing effective CPR, the chance of survival increases 3X after accidents such as Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Heart Attack (in some cases), Drowning, Electrocution, Suffocation, Choking, Drug Overdose, Stroke (in some severe cases), and Severe Trauma (e.g., a car accident with massive blood loss or direct damage to the heart or lungs).

In this video, the Ileria team has targeted the electrocution accident. It is reported that there are over 4000 electrocution injuries each year among the U.S. workforce. With a simple population ratio, it can be estimated that there are around 85,000 electrical injuries in the work environment, which indicates the importance of the first responder. The Ileria CPR Feedback Device is the best fit technology for training and being prepared to save lives. Find out more images and content on our website.
